Since I first discovered photography I’ve photographed everything imaginable, as I unknowingly searched for my place. It’s been a wonderful process, and just having the camera in my hands has been enough. Kids, families, weddings, and high school seniors have been the focus, and each area has been about celebrations…..Celebrating these important events, by creating photographs that will forever represent these chapters of our lives. . It’s a little sad that apart from getting married, our high school senior portraits are often the last time we purposely celebrate our lives with photographs.
Maybe it about getting a little older, but these days I’ve found myself wishing I had celebrated more chapters of my life, and certainly the current chapter I’m living. I love the path I’ve discovered, and while it may not last forever, it will forever be part of me. While I feel this way, I believe there are others out there who also would love to celebrate themselves….I just want to be a little part of it.
This is about fun. This is about stepping out of your daily routine, and playing. Dressing up, feeling great, and doing something for you. It’s about celebrating with friends, and creating memories. It’s about creating photographs that capture your passion…..Your love for dance, music, yoga and yourself. It’s not only about the photographs, but it’s also about the process….
There are many ways to go about the shoot. It can be all yours, where we have but one focus….Creating photographs of you. You can share the experience with a friend or two, which is still about you, but offers some additional encouragement and support. Finally, you can make it a party, which is just that. A group of friends, wine, champagne, snacks, hair makeup, and great photographs. My studio is divided into two large rooms, one for having a party, and one for creating photographs. It truly is the perfect place for such an event!
That’s my story, or at least my story for now. It’s all a new adventure, as much about me following my passion and doing what I do best, as it is about you and your celebration. Please feel free to send me any questions you may have….Look forward to working together!
